Working with Kat Van Guilder is an absolute pleasure! We've teamed up on countless projects over the last 4 years. With each and every task, she demonstrates a strong commitment to detail, is a great listener, open to suggestions, and is eager to provide solutions of her own. She excels as a team player, and as an individual self-starter. She easily manages to keep her drawings very clean and accurate, while displaying all of the necessary details that are crucial in creating a successful and accurate set of plans. Kat was an excellent designer to work with! She was professional, thorough, and creative. I appreciated that she offered her expertise and advice with patience since I had no experience with construction or kitchen renovations. When I told her my vague design concept I had in mind, she brought the design to life with her renderings! She wasn't offended when we had suggestions for what we wanted to change in her mock ups, and when we suggested something that was going to potentially clash or look out of place, Kat politely explained her reasons as to why she chose the decisions she made. She had been designing kitchens for years, and it was immediately obvious once we started discussing our project with her. I am excited to search for contractors who are capable of bringing our vision to life, thanks to Kat's design! She's a 10/10, and I'll be recommending our friends and family to use her if they have any home improvement design needs!

I began working with Kat last spring in hopes to remodel a 1970s home that desperately needed updating. This project was difficult because I never physically saw the house before making remodel plans. However, I was able to send Kat pictures of the home as well as dimensions in hopes of making my vision come to life. She was very thorough in asking what I was looking for in a home, my design plan, as well as providing her own professional input in regards to layout and functionality of the home. She was able to bring up things I would never have thought about, weighing in pros and cons of different design plans and layouts. She was quick to come up with a design that I love and insisted on making every little detail just right. Kat was professional and very patient throughout the entire process, answering any questions I had and explaining the design/remodel process with ease. She was able to make a stressful situation of planning and designing feel seamless and effortless. I was able to tell right off the bat that this is Kat's passion and gifting. I am so thankful to have worked with Kat and now live in a home that my family and I love!
